The Ownerz: The late Guru with DJ Premier, together the two made up Gang Starr

I don't want to contribute another summation of Guru's life work and greatness to the mass that is already on every blog across the internets. Not because I'm lazy, but because I don't think that I could do him the justice that DJ Premier, his brother, or Jeff Weiss could do, the justice that he deserves. What I will say is that I'll always remember the day that I got Gang Starr's Full Clip: A Decade of Gang Starr (of which I'm currently bumping while writing this verse) in 8th grade from my homie Ben Bucy. I listened to that shit non stop. I listened to it so frequently I had to continuously make copies of it to pop into my Sony Discman for the bus ride back and forth from school because I kept fucking up the copies.
Bosting one of the greatest lyrical repertoires, most recognizable voices, and legendary cadences, Guru (which stands for Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal) will be greatly missed for his contributions to the music community as a whole. And Keith Elam will be greatly missed for his contributions to the world.
